Someone needs to notify these guys that your show is called Atop the Fourth WALL, not Atop the Fourth WAR. But regardless, I'm listening now, and I'm sure it's a good one!

I liked the interview. Liked the comic art centric discussions. It was nice to see some different content then other interviews where they ask the same questions again and again. Also, interesting to hear you've been contacted by people from the comics industry.

That pirate superhero you were trying to remember is the Black Terror. Great design on that character.

I think one of the hosts who said, "Whizza," was thinking of the Whizzler. Whizzler, a superhero who had a transfusion of mongoose blood and got the power to run fast. He also wore a yellow costume. Lame character.

The thing that annoyed me about the interview was that sometimes the host got the names of superheroes wrong. One of the host's said, "Nite Owl," when they meant to say the girl superhero, "Night Girl." Then again, if the interviewers didn't know much of superhero history, that's fine.

I can understand the guy who feels frustrated about the Legion getting changed all the time. Hopefully, DC will keep with the current Legion and not reboot it.

I really agreed on your thoughts about how a story with continuity should make you want to read older stories. That's something I'm doing, currently, with Legion of Superheroes and Green Lantern.

I disagree with you, though, that comics are more grim and gritty. Comics, in general aren't as dark or as gritty as they were back in the 90's. There are way more fun comics out there then there were back then. Plus, dark comics are much better than they were back then.

I am not trying to be a dick here, but Webcomic Beacon sucks. I hate how boring, unenthusiastic, and annoying these hosts sound. I listened to several of their podcasts and none of them were entertaining. They really need to do something to make their show either more lively or more interesting.

Another podcast? Damn, you sure do get around. How do you find the time for these? XD

I have to say I have mixed feelings about you possibly reviewing the Twilight manga. I'm sure it will be funny, but bashing a series meant for preteen girls is starting to get old.

Although if you do do it then maybe you can try the manga adaptation of Maximum Ride sometime.

I hope you do talk about the DVD, though I do have 4 dvds of c-grade schlock that I'm afraid to watch

Did one of them actually put down Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the Eighth Grade? Blasphemy! That comic=awesome!

Nice interview, but maybe you should just record the show's origin story and play it back for every interview. :)

Out of curiosity, Anonymous, could you point out the elements of Twilight that's appropriate for a pre-teen girl?

I'm surprised the discussion about Public Domain heroes didn't mention the stuff Dynamite is putting out right now, or the Femforce comics of the '80s.

Regarding the Golden Age pirate guy whose name you couldn't remember... I am reasonably sure you're thinking of Star Pirate (you know, the future pirate with a bunch of crazy futuristic fashions and lots of gay innuendo laden adventures).

If you want, I can send you some of the Golden Age comics I saved (or just link them).

At the chicken that commented anonymously about how boring the Webcomic Beacon is, I apologize.

While the show certainly has it's many faults here and there, we still get a a few hundred listeners each show that seem to like it alright for whatever reasons, including finding at least one of the three hosts entertaining (it varies).

Personally I'm not sure how we come off as unenthusiastic (well sometimes), but still, improvements can be made.

Hey, turned on to your stuff by the beacon.

Regarding positive review vs negative review, since 90% of all art is crap, maybe you should end the podcast with a one minute recommendation to something good.

You're wrong about the Longbow Hunters not being in continuity. Clearly, in Kevin Smith's Quiver, there is a flashback showing a scene from the Longbow Hunters where Ollie kills someone to save Black Canary.
